The ductless units were installed in both bedrooms and the dining room. Then, thin tubing was run through the walls to connect with the outdoor air condenser, which was installed on the left side of the home. This placement made it easy for technicians to get to the unit for maintenance, without it interfering with the home’s curb appeal.
The new system will offer state-of-the-art heating in the winter and high-quality air conditioning in the winter. Now, instead of running the entire system to try and bring a few rooms up to temperature, they’ll be able to turn up the heat in those rooms alone. Each of the ductless ACs is controlled by a separate thermostat and remote control, which allows it to be set differently from the others in the system. This design means that they can keep the bedroom nice and cozy, but cool off the dining room, without interfering with the rest of the home.
The owners knew they would want to be able to turn off the system during the days while they were away at work because it would help to save even more energy. Because the units are individually controlled, they can easily be turned off when not in use. Jimmy suggested that they equip the system with Kumo Cloud technology. This system allows the owners to access the control of their ductless ACs through an app on their smartphones. Now, they can set the temperature before heading home from work, and the entire home will be the perfect temperature when they arrive.
Each of the units will also monitor the humidity in the room and make adjustments. This humidity control allows the units to maximize the owners’ comfort levels even more. Now, the family will never have to endure another muggy day during the summer or suffer from dry air in the winter. Instead, they’ll be able to make adjustments whenever they need it.
